The welding method of stamped parts is generally determined by their volume, the welding location, and the structure of the stamped part being welded. There are generally upward welding, flat welding, vertical welding, and horizontal welding. Among these four welding methods, the more complex one is overhead welding, which requires the use of an arc and smaller diameter welding rods, making it very difficult.

When choosing flat welding for stamping parts, the weld seam is usually on a horizontal line, which is relatively easy to operate, and the diameter of the welding rod can also be larger to improve production efficiency. However, the defect is that it is prone to the phenomenon of mixing molten iron and slag together and being difficult to distinguish.

Due to the downward flow of molten metal during the welding process of stamping parts, defects may occur in vertical and horizontal welding. Therefore, we need to choose small-diameter welding electrodes and use shorter arcs for stamping part welding, and the welding current should also be one of the smaller than usual.
