Stamping processing is a production technology that utilizes the power of conventional or stamping equipment to directly deform the sheet metal in the mold, thereby obtaining the shape, size, and performance of product parts. Sheet metal, molds, and equipment are the three essential elements of stamping processing. Stamping processing is a method of metal cold deformation processing. So, it is called cold stamping or sheet metal stamping, abbreviated as stamping. It is one of the main methods of metal plastic processing (or pressure processing) and also belongs to material forming engineering technology. The mold used for stamping parts is called a stamping die, abbreviated as a punching die. A stamping die is a tool used to process materials (metal or non-metal) in batches into the required stamping parts. Stamping dies are crucial in stamping, and without qualified dies, mass stamping production becomes difficult; Without a punching die, the stamping process cannot be achieved. Stamping technology, molds, stamping equipment, and stamping materials constitute the three elements of stamping processing, and only by combining them can stamped parts be obtained.

As for inspection standards, they should be formulated according to product requirements. Thread inspection has national standard thread gauges, and hole inspection can be based on national standard designed plug gauges or purchased national standard size plug gauges.

The application of stamping technology in automotive processes:

The progress of stamping production enterprises is increasingly closely linked to the automotive industry. The manufacturers of stamping machine tools have adjusted their new products and solution concepts to adapt to the development of the automotive industry, and have also integrated this trend into their production strategies.

(2) Stamping of automotive and other industry components. Mainly for punching and shearing forming. Many of these enterprises are classified under standard parts factories, as well as some independent stamping factories. Currently, there are many small factories around some automobile or tractor factories.

(3) Electrical component stamping factory. This type of factory is a new industry that has developed with the development of electrical appliances, and is mainly concentrated in the south.

(4) Daily necessities stamping factory. Make some handicrafts, tableware, etc. These factories have also seen significant development in recent years.

(5) Stamping factory for household appliance components. These factories only emerged after the development of my electrical appliances industry, and most of them are distributed within home appliance companies.

(6) Special stamping enterprises. Stamping for aviation components belongs to this category of enterprises, but these process factories are also classified under some large factories.
