This has led to the development of stamping materials and lightweight in the automotive industry. With the development of automotive hardware stamping parts; More and more materials are using high-strength plates, whether thick sheets or high-strength steel plates. The stamping or rolling forming molds are subjected to forming stresses, and the problem of surface scratches on workpieces is even more serious. Therefore, the automotive mold industry is facing challenges, and how to solve the problem of workpiece scratches has become an important issue in the mold industry.

(1) Stamping parts; The root cause of strain problems is due to local drilling (or welding, biting) on the surface of the workpiece and mold. Practice has shown that, in the absence of other methods, molds made of steel materials used for forming steel parts cannot avoid tearing problems when the forming force is high, regardless of the mold, heat treatment, or quenching hardness.

The occurrence of strain problems can also bring the following problems: ① After the strain problem occurs, the production line needs to be stopped to rectify the mold, which cannot meet the requirements of batch continuous production, reduce production efficiency, and increase production costs. ② After stopping the production line to rectify the mold, the mold life will be reduced, and the size of the processed products cannot be consistent, resulting in an impact on the qualification rate of the white body The appearance of the component may have scratches, which can lower the quality of the product.

(2) Common methods for dealing with strains

There are many ways to solve or strain problems, and the basic principle is to change the properties of the friction pair between the mold and the part, so that the friction pair is replaced by materials that are not easy to drill. The specific method for metal stamping parts is: ① Reasonably select the mold material in the mold structure design or perform surface treatment on the mold after it is manufactured. ② Process treatment of the material surface of the parts, such as phosphating In actual production, a layer of other substances is artificially added between the mold and the parts to separate them, such as increasing lubrication, adding special lubricants, or adding a layer of PVC or other materials.

In general, TD coating treatment can fundamentally solve the problem of strain on forming molds, and this technology is also one of the better methods to solve this problem. In addition, the performance of TD coating can increase the life of the mold by several times to tens of times.

Stamping parts are a forming processing method that uses a press and mold to apply external force to plates, strips, pipes, and profiles, causing them to undergo plastic deformation or separation, thereby obtaining the desired shape and size of the workpiece (stamping part).

Stamping and forging belong to plastic processing (also known as pressure processing), collectively referred to as forging. The stamping blanks are mainly hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel plates and strips. Stamping parts are mainly formed by stamping metal or non-metal sheet metal with the help of pressure from a press machine through a stamping die. They mainly have the following characteristics:

Stamped parts are manufactured through stamping with minimal material consumption. They are lightweight, have good rigidity, and after plastic deformation of the sheet metal, the internal structure of the metal improves the strength of the stamped parts.  

⑵ Stamping parts have high dimensional accuracy, uniform and consistent dimensions with the same module, and good interchangeability. It can meet general assembly and usage requirements without further mechanical processing.  

During the stamping process, stamped parts have good surface quality and a smooth and beautiful appearance because the surface of the material is not damaged. This provides convenient conditions for surface painting, electroplating, phosphating, and other surface treatments.  

The reason for the high scrap rate of stamping parts

1、 The raw materials are not up to standard. Raw materials are the first step in producing qualified stamped parts. If the hardness and surface of the raw materials do not meet the quality requirements, the corresponding scrap rate of stamped parts will definitely be too high.

2、 The installation of stamping molds is not qualified. The installation of automotive stamping parts does not comply with regulations, resulting in poor fit between the upper and lower molds during stamping processing, leading to a high scrap rate. Stamping parts

3、 The die is worn. During long-term use, the wear and tear of stamping molds or loose parts can also lead to product scrap.

4、 The worker's operation is not standardized. The worker did not follow the installation manual when operating the punch press, or made errors in feeding.

5、 The positioning device is inaccurate. During the feeding process, inaccurate positioning of the mold can cause problems in the coordination of each process and also lead to the production of waste products.
